Weather

Climate in Poland is temperate with warm summers, crisp, sunny autumns and cold winters. Snow covers especially the mountainous area (in the south) from the middle of December to April. Rain falls throughout the year. Weather can't be reliably forecast more than three days, or so, in advance. Average temperature for Poznan is approx. -1 degree in January and 17 degrees in July.

Required clothing:
Light- to mediumweights are worn during warmer months.
Medium- to heavyweights are needed during winter. Rainwear is advisable all year.

 

Electricity

Electrical current in Poznań is 220 V/50 Hz. Round, European-style two-pin plugs are used. Appliances designed to operate on 110/120 Volts need a voltage converter and a plug adapter.

 

Time zone

The time zone in Poznań is GMT + 1 hour.

 

Payment

Money can best be changed at banks or exchange counters. Credit cards are accepted in shops, travel offices, fuel stations, etc. The Polish currency is the zloty (PLN).
